"UB, Kaleida Team Up For Residents"
By ERIN SHULTZ | Aug. 28, 2002The School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences announced plans to team up with Kaleida and the Erie County Medical Center in an effort to streamline residency training and strengthen the Western New York medical community.The plan, which has been in the works for several years, puts UB in charge of the operations of all dental and medical residency programs at area hospitals.Michael Bernadino, vice president for Health Affairs and dean of the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, called the merger "the single seminal event" for UB's medical school.
