Sade Cadle keeps her mom?s influences in mind and at heart as she takes on her position as SA treasurer to manage finances, assist clubs and help the people around her. Chad Cooper, The Spectrum Sade Cadle remembers the day her mother turned off all the lights in their New York City home. Cadle?s mother, Stephanie Cadle Osoba, was devising a surprise for the gaggle of children ? Cadle and her brothers and cousins ? who were about to return from a day of playing. White powder covered Stephanie?s face as she jumped out and screamed, teasingly terrorizing the kids.

SA VP and President to run on separate ballots in 2015

On Wednesday, the Student Association Assembly voted to change election guidelines to have presidential and vice presidential candidates running on separate ballots. During an impromptu Senate meeting on the same night, the SA Senate passed an amendment allowing the SA president to appoint the SUNY delegates. The Assembly also voted Melissa Kathan, a sophomore political science major, to be Speaker of the Assembly for the second year in a row. The previous election system required the presidential and vice presidential candidate to be elected together.

SA reduces pay of its executive board

The Student Association has cut the stipends of its president, vice president and treasurer by $2,000 each - putting $6,000 total back into SA's roughly $3.6 million budget. On Sunday evening, the SA Senate passed the 2014-15 undergraduate SA budget with eight senators approving and three abstaining.

Party in the new SA

James Ingram said he always knew his party had the potential to earn the student body's support. On Thursday, undergraduates proved him right. The Value Party celebrated in the Student Association office as Election and Credentials Chair Matt Siwiec announced Ingram and the rest of his party swept the SA elections. Presidential and vice presidential candidates Ingram and Evan Chen, respectively, won the two executive positions with 250 votes more than the Impact Party.

SA Senate votes Judy Mai as vice president

On Sunday, the Student Association Senate unanimously approved Judy Mai as SA vice president - 13 senate members voted yes and four were not present. Lyle Selsky, the former SA vice president, resigned from his position on Jan.

When Student Association Treasurer Siddhant Chhabria came to UB from his native India, he was expecting a crazy experience like the one he saw in American Pie. He soon realized college in America is completely different from what he imagined. Throughout his college career, Chhabria has taken steps to transition from his wild perception to a matured approach.

VOICE Party Sweeps SA Elections

A cheer rose in 350 Student Union on Thursday evening when the Student Association elections ended in a decisive victory for the VOICE Party, with all of its candidates dominating student ballots.
