In the recent issue of the SA propaganda magazine known as Visions, Vice President Joshua Korman launched into an inappropriate, uncalled for, vicious attack on political science and "related majors." He lumps all such students together as "career politicians" as though this were a bad thing.

Baseball Ends Losing Streak with Home Victory

The UB baseball team snapped a four-game losing streak and captured their 10th win of the season Wednesday as they outlasted cross-town rival Canisius 13-5 at the Amherst Pepsi Center Field.UB was propelled by three separate multi-run innings, including a five-run fourth and seventh, to keep them safely ahead of the Golden Griffins throughout the entire game.

25th Oversight: New Art for City Hall

Live chickens will be clucking and poker will be played on the 25th floor of Buffalo City Hall on Thursday afternoon.The chickens and the gambling will be part of an exhibit of UB graduate and undergraduate artwork titled "25th Oversight: New Art for City Hall" which will display art specifically designed around the gallery space as part of a course taught by Catherine Kobel.

Higher Education Aid

On Saturday, Gov. George Pataki announced his plans to promote the passage of a law that would lower tuition for illegal immigrants at SUNY and CUNY schools to in-state resident rates.The announcement came at the Somos El Futuro conference, a summit organized by Hispanic state legislators that attracted over 10,000 participants.

SA Senate Passes Nine Amendments to Constitution

In Monday's two-hour-long session, the Student Association Senate passed nine of the 12 amendments proposed by the assembly.The first of the amendments proposed to move the election date for speaker of the assembly from the beginning of the fall semester to "no earlier than April 8 and no later than April 30." The speaker of the assembly would take office May 1, allowing him or her to begin preparing for the upcoming year over the summer.
