Dear Mo,In lieu of your successful endeavor to enter the 2004 NFL draft, I, a college student, would greatly appreciate your time in answering several questions.It is on behalf of college students everywhere hoping (and I stress hoping) that their college degree will serve as a ticket to a financially secure and stable life, that I ask that you answer with honesty and utmost sincerity.After all, it was you that felt the need to rebelliously buck the system set forth by an established and almost inconceivably wealthy conglomerate monster: the National Football League.

If two things could sum up America's obsessions, they might be football and beer.Yet despite its potential to bring in revenue, many colleges - including UB - have decided that beer sales and campus football games don't go together.College campuses have varied policies regarding alcohol sales at athletic events; Many SUNY schools, which tend to have relatively low-profile athletic programs, choose not to serve alcohol at collegiate football games."Determining whether or not to sell alcohol at athletic events is a campus-based decision," said Dave Henahan, director of media relations for SUNY.

Alumni Arena to Undergo Renovations

Alumni Arena is getting a makeover.The Bulls will be stepping onto a brand new floor when they kick off next season as Alumni Arena is scheduled for a complete renovation, which will include new basketball offices and the elimination of the old bleachers."These improvements to our arena are a continuing demonstration by both the University and our supporters to the commitment of our intercollegiate athletics program," said Bill Maher, Interim Director of Athletics earlier in a statement.New chair back seating that is proposed will eliminate the discomfort of the old bleachers and could change the atmosphere at Bulls games, moving students closer to the court.Capacity will decrease by about 2,000 people, bringing it to around 6,500 seats, due to new fire safety codes.

A Disjointed Effort

The Coral, a young six-man band originating from a small town on England's west coast, may have the right idea for rising to mainstream stardom, but the band falls far short of being an indie rock standout.While The Coral's sound is a unique blend of soft rock and folk, they have a long way to go to effectively create a solid style and identity; their music often seems unrefined and shaky.

Mexico City.The latest: Amherst.Over the past year, an increasing number of Amherst residents filed complaints citing foundation damage ranging from buckling to cracking, all due to this "sinking" effect.However, while UB professors and students' homes have sustained damage, the campus itself is safe on account of careful construction, UB geologists say.Darlene Torbenson and her son Greg, a junior electrical engineering major at UB, were two such residents to witness the unexpected deterioration of their house on Dappled Drive in East Amherst.In 1997, the Torbenson home began to display signs of differential settlement, a process in which portions of the ground beneath a home settle, causing parts of the house to rise and other parts to sink.
