Students filed into the Center for the Arts (CFA) in packs beginning at 7 p.m. on Nov. 20, to see a comedian renowned for his surreal and unconventional comedy on “The Eric Andre Show.” Around 8 p.m., the show opened with a set from David Gborie, who some may recognize from his stand-up, or from his work as the voice used in Comedy Central commercials.

For most authors, this moment is when you finally make it into the publishing world. For some it’s the first book you publish, the first offer, the first time you win an award — whatever it may be. Years of blood, sweat and rejections go into that moment. But before you can get to that moment, you have to start with the question: where do I begin?

Urth Nose is meticulous about when she releases her music. When she dropped her first projects, 1. BE and 2. BREAK DOWN — a double album packaged as two separate releases — she had intended to release a third, tentatively titled PURPOSE. Once she realized it wasn’t ready, she soon changed her mind.

Most people rush through the Center for the Arts (CFA) building — quickly running to class or using it as an escape from the cold like I do. Away from all of the noise and the traffic of students, there is a gallery on the left hand side, right when you enter through the main doors. If you have the free time in your busy student life or maybe a gap in your schedule, I recommend visiting and walking straight to the back of the exhibit where the best piece is displayed.

Cross Country competed at the NCAA Regional Championships this past Friday, where they faced strong competition. Both the women and the men posted program best finishes against some of the best collegiate runners in the Northeast.

Buffalo men’s basketball (4-0, 0-0 MAC) continues its undefeated streak with an 80-64 win over the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Tigers (0-3, 0-0 Liberty League) on Nov. 15. Sophomore guard Daniel Freitag led the Bulls with a career-high 27 points and five assists, dominating at the free-throw line by going 14-of-15, helping to seal UB’s victory.
