Pianist, singer and songwriter John Legend will perform and speak at UB on Dec. 3 instead of Nov. 18 due to a professional conflict.

John Legend's appearance as part of the Distinguished Speakers Series has been rescheduled due to a professional conflict.

The academy award winning singer/songwriter was set to speak on Nov. 18. He will now be in Buffalo on Dec. 3, where he will speak in Alumni Arena.

Tickets for the original date will still be valid for the rescheduled one.

Two others are set to speak this semester as part of the series.

Laverne Cox, the transgender advocate and award winning actress, will be coming to Buffalo on Sept. 16. Liz Murray is the author of bestseller "Breaking Night: A memoir of Forgiveness, Survival," and "My Journey from Homeless to Harvard" and will appear on Oct. 14.

The Distinguished Speaker Series is free for all undergraduate students.
