UB is making its campus more accessible to people with disabilities, and this weekend, for the first time ever, it held a symposium opening the conversation about future advancements. This idea was the center of the "Diversity in Disability" Symposium, held on Saturday at the Center for Tomorrow from 9 a.m.
As natural elements grow scarcer, synthetic materials have become integral to the furthering of technology. Soon, UB will be contributing to the discovery and innovation of these new materials.

For over an hour, writer Amitav Ghosh captured UB's attention as he painted a picture of Guangzhou, China caught in the center of the opium trade in the 18th and 19th centuries. Ghosh is an internationally renowned author from West Bengal, India and the recipient of many prizes for his books of historical fiction, which are set in Asia.

The UB Alumni Association (UBAA) is awarding $7,500 in scholarships to six students in recognition of their involvement with on-campus activities and leadership.
