It's in the Air Tonight

JB: Energy.While knocking back a few brews at happy hour on Friday night, I saw a commercial on the television that sent chills down my spine and energy coursing through my veins.It was a commercial for the Buffalo Bulls' home playoff game tonight in Amitrano Arena, and I could literally feel the energy flowing all the way from campus through the TV and into my body.Maybe it was the buzz, but I felt like doing Merton Hanks's funky chicken across the bar floor.The Buffalo Bulls are alive and kicking hard.

"The Sharpest Point: Alex Rodriguez, the New York Yankees and the MLB"

The biggest story of this year has been the trade of Alex Rodriguez to the Yankees. With A-Rod at third base and Derek Jeter at short, the Yankees have what - on paper - is probably the best left-side of any infield ever.Everyone has different opinions as to how the Bronx Bombers and A-Rod will fare this season, including this week's Sharpest Point competitors, arts editor "Metal" Mike Flatt and managing editor George "Scorenick" Zornick.They will be judged on a scale of 1-10 in three categories: Strength of argument, factual evidence and style.

A collective tear rolled down our nation's eye on Wednesday night as word traveled on the imminent trade of the Portland Trailblazer's star-crossed Rasheed Wallace to the Atlanta Hawks.As Jurmaine Dupri and Ludacris warm up their next version of "Welcome to Atlanta" featuring 'Sheed, we at the sports desk are in mourning over the end of a true Golden Age.Wallace's trademark post-technical foul facial expressions were the face of the Blazers franchise since the late-'90s, and now that face has gone over an extreme makeover.So, in honor of this disheartening end, we bring you the finest Portland Trailblazer moments of the Jailblazer era.But first, cue up Natalie Merchant and the 10,000 Maniacs.These are the days.These are the days you might fill with laughter until youbreak.
