Men's Soccer Playoff Preview

For the UB men's soccer team, it has been a trying season, as their one total win on the year can surely attest to that.As the Mid-American Conference playoffs commence on Friday however, everyone's chances are renewed as all records are reset to 0-0.Buffalo (1-11-3, 0-6 MAC) will be given a clean slate, but they must create a lot of scoring chances, meaning they will need to pepper Akron's goalkeeper Justin Christafaris with as many shots as possible.

Around the MAC

In college football you have to run the ball and create turnovers to be successful. This was evident in the Mid-American Conference this weekend as NIU and Marshall had multiple 100-yard backs en route to big wins over their opponents on Saturday.West Virginia also had a running back go over 100 yards and had a big special teams play - a blocked punt for a touchdown - that helped them to win against UCF.

"It's Not A Cartoon, It's Anime"

Blood, gore, romance and panties - not the typical content in a traditional cartoon.But these super-violent and ultra-sexed animations are "not cartoons - it's anime," according to Alison Merner, a sophomore biochemistry and anthropology major and Office Manager of the UB Anime Club.The club meets every Tuesday at 8 p.m.
