Courtesy of Steve Jennings When Andrew McFadden and Nick Palumbo stood on line the first day John Oliver tickets were being issued out to students, they didn?t even consider the possibility of it being ?snowed out.? But before Oliver made it to Buffalo Nov.

UB downsizes construction plans for campuses

UB is more than $500 million short of what it needs to finish its original construction and renovation plans across all three campuses. The university has hit its spending cap for capital projects and recently presented a new plan with revised expenditures. The original Five-Year Capital Plan allocated $404 million for projects on North Campus, $136 million for South Campus and $24 million for the downtown campus.

UPD alerts campus about sexual assault

The University Police are investigating a sexual assault that happened early Sunday morning in a North Campus apartment. UPD sent out a campus-wide alert Sunday afternoon. The suspect became acquainted with the victim at an off-campus location, according to the alert.

Naeem Rigaud, a junior media studies major, uses thrifting to customize his closet, enhancing his ?unique? style. Samaya Abdus-Salaam, The Spectrum Maggie LeClair?s wardrobe is completely recycled and pays for itself. After every clothing season, the junior environmental and geosciences major sells her unwanted clothes to thrift stores and uses the money she makes to buy new, thrifted clothes. ?I don?t think I?ve been to the mall since high school,? LeClair said.


Jayralin Herrera, a sophomore environmental studies major, wanted her three piercings to have bilateral symmetry, which is having symmetry in respect to the center of your face. She has two stretched earlobes, and a septum and philtrum piercing that lies in the middle between her nose and lips.
