Coming off a 1-0 win over Colorado College (2-1-1) that extended their unbeaten streak to three games, UB women’s soccer (2-1-1) put up a good fight but ultimately fell 2-1 against No. 17 ranked Michigan State (3-0-2) in East Lansing, Michigan. Softball head coach Mike Ruechel had his retirement announced by UB Athletics on Monday, after spending eight seasons with the Bulls. Ruechel came in as an interim head coach in 2018 before becoming the permanent head coach before the 2020 season.

Two UB Burmese students raised funds to support relief for Myanmar after a 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit central Myanmar on March 28, causing a death toll of about 3,800. The destruction — further amplified by a civil war between Myanmar’s military government and resistance groups — has left at least 19.9 million residents in need of aid.

The women’s tennis team’s (20-8, 5-5 MAC) grand season ended on Friday afternoon with a loss to Ohio State (23-3, 12-1 Big 10), the fourth seed, in the NCAA Tournament. The Bulls put up a notable fight, but ultimately lost 4-0 as Ohio State dominated the court in all matches.
