No bull
The Bulls' men's basketball team has not filed any official protest of last Wednesday night's game at Kent State. The officiating of the game was called into question, as two of the three officials are graduates of Kent State in addition to serving as past captains of Kent State's basketball team. Mid-American Conference bylaws allow for referees to officiate at their respective degree-granting institutions eight years after the referees' graduation. No rules were officially violated and there is no foreseeable remedy for the Bulls, should they protest the officiating of the game. UB head coach Reggie Witherspoon was not available for comment.
Snow day
The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team had to cancel its meet for the second time in a row. Due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, the Akron Zips were unable to reach Alumni Arena for the scheduled swim meet on Saturday. The meet has not yet been rescheduled.
