Car accident on Sweet Home Road leaves UB entrance damaged, no injuries occur

<p>A car took out a traffic signal and crashed into the Rensch entrance sign on UB's North Campus on Sunday afternoon. No injuries occurred. </p>

A car took out a traffic signal and crashed into the Rensch entrance sign on UB's North Campus on Sunday afternoon. No injuries occurred. 

A single car took out a traffic signal and crashed into the Rensch entrance sign of UB’s North Campus on Sunday afternoon. The accident was reported at 12:02 p.m and the driver was not affiliated with UB. Amherst Police coned off the Sweet Home Road and Rensch Road intersection and the Department of Transportation will fix the traffic signal.

UB Deputy Chief of Police Joshua Sticht said no injuries occurred as a result of the accident and that a police report would most likely be available on Tuesday.

This story has been updated to include the time the accident was reported and that the driver of the car was not affiliated with UB.
