Pierce named MAC Player of the Week

Junior guard Rodney Pierce of the men's basketball team was named as one of the Mid-American Conference Players of the Week after his performance against Kent State and Miami (OH).

Pierce currently leads the team in scoring with 15.1 points per game and is ranked eighth in the MAC. He is ranked second on the team with 26 3-pointers and 37 assists.

The Bulls beat Kent State 64-53 after Pierce scored a career-best of four 3-pointers and a team-high 18 points. In addition to his hot shooting, Pierce had four rebounds and an assist. Against Miami (OH), Pierce scored 13 points and grabbed a season-high seven rebounds in the 76-64 win.
