Helpful hints for Black Friday

This Friday, the doors will open and some shoppers will find themselves as preoccupied with their own personal safety as they will be about finding good deals. Those prepared with a premeditated list of sales and ideas may find it a vital aspect to Black Friday survival.

Dell has posted some of their great saves on www.Dell.com, along with coupon codes that are required in order to make the deals valid at any store counter.

With the coupon code, a shopper can get 30 percent off Dell XPS 1330 Laptops, which usually run for $1699 or more. Dell XPS 630 and 730 Desktops, which usually run for the same amount, will be marked down 25 percent with the Web site discount.

Electronics will be flying off the shelves at Best Buy. With the purchase of a 8GB iPod Nano, which will be sold on Black Friday for a discounted price of $149.99, one will receive a $20 gift card for free. Shoppers with a slightly lower price range can purchase a Kodak 5 mega pixel camera for only $79.

At JCPenney, romantic gifts are seeing major markdowns. Diamond solitaire pendants, earrings and rings are being sold for 50 percent off. The entire stock of gold and fine sterling silver jewelry will be 65 percent off.

For those seeking to get out of the country, Black Friday may be the best time to book a dream flight. STA Travels has discounts for students in light of the holidays, with trips to Europe that are shockingly inexpensive.

A flight from New York to London will only cost $361 for a student looking to travel between now and Dec. 17. After Christmas, the cost of such a journey will be over $500.

For a weekend getaway and to refresh your summer tan, a closer destination at an even cheaper price would be a hop and skip away to Miami Beach. For $173, Expedia is offering a round trip flight to Miami, or for $166, a flight to Orlando.

Keeping mom and dad in mind this season, The Home Depot has some great gifts available for consumers.

For instance, a Magic Chef stainless steel 50-bottle wine cooler runs for $298 and could prove to be worth every penny. For those home renovations projects, a Milwaukee Sawzall kit could come in handy and runs for only $99.

Black Friday can be overwhelming and shopping missions can seem impossible. However, with a few helpful hints and a list in mind, holiday shopping will be a breeze this year.
