One is the longhaired, smooth and sensual type. The other is known for being the extremely hyper, over-the-top playboy.
Separate, they are Real (aka Ahmad Givens) and Chance (aka Kamal Givens). Together, they are the Stallionaires, made famous for their participation in several VH1 reality shows.
The Brothers Stallionaire took some time right before the debut of their newest reality show, A Real Chance at Love, to speak with The Spectrum about everything from barnyard animals to former flames-but mostly the Stallionaires.
"Man, you can expect the Stallionaires. I'll tell you this, dude, it's nothing like everybody else's show. It's not like Flav, it's not like New York, it's not like Bret's. It's like none of that dude," Real said.
Introducing the show with images of the brothers, their voices will also provide the soundtrack for their adventure.
"Let me just tell you this, the main title to our show is the name of our main single, 'She Love Me.' As soon as you see the open of the show, that's the single. It'll be on iTunes, Rhapsody and all the others," Real said.
Upon first viewing, it's obvious that the days of contestants living the life of luxury are over as A Real Chance at Love takes place on a cattle ranch.
"That's the Stallionaire Estate...We raise cattle, horses, goat, sheep and women," Real said.
In the spirit of VH1 dating shows, the boys gave nicknames to their female counterparts ranging from Meatball and Stalker to Cornfed.
Of course, Real and Chance had no idea how crazy it can be living with 14 different women.
"Watching that trailer, we weren't around the girls 24/7, I didn't know the girls were that crazy...I never, ever, ever dealt with that many personalities in my life at one time man, and that was tough," Real said.
For those Stallionaire fans who've shed tears watching Real get his heart stomped on by not only New York but, more recently, Hoopz on I Love Money, one has to wonder why he's putting it all out on the line again.
"I'm a freebird. You know. First of all, I wasn't in love with New York. I wasn't in love with her at all. I did fall in love with Hoops," he said. "...Nah, but nah man. I'm not mad at love. It was just wrong timing, wrong circumstances and I'll never get mad at love. That's just how it was. My heart is open to love again, brah. When you fall in love man, you got to fall in love like it's the first time and that's just what I do."
As for whether or not Real finds love this season, he wasn't willing to talk too much about it.
"No proposing on this one, I will just tell you that," he said.
Real and Chance aren't only thinking about love this time of year. When asked who they were supporting for president, the brothers had an boastful response.
"Oh that's easy: The Stallionaires...Let me tell you this, it would transcend America cause everybody be laughin' so hard, havin' a great time, it'll be like one big Mardi Gras every day. Screw all that technical talk, let's just have a great time," Real said.
And for every great president, there is an even greater first lady.
"Might have to choose Oprah. With a whole lot a money, I could use that money and that power to help this economy," Real said.
A Real Chance at Love offers the chance to really see what it takes to be a Stallionaire, but before becoming an official member there are some admittance requirements to take care of.
"You got to get initiated. You know, I ain't talk about a beat down. Let me ask you this, do you know how to impregnate a horse?" Real said.
So for those unaware on how to artificially inseminate a barnyard creature, the next best place to get a piece of The Stallionaire meat is to just sit on the couch and watch.
"It's wild. It's got the Stallionaires. We're definitely in the buildin' on this one," Chance said. "It's crazy man. We got a bunch of wild mustangs in our stable. And it's just going down man. It's just a wild show, man. It's a lot of ups and downs."
When it's all said in done, Real just wants people to watch the show and form their own opinions about the brothers.
"You're gonna laugh with us, you're gonna cry with us. We're gonna take you on a roller coaster. And you gonna love us...As your doin' the show, you sit back and analyze the show for yourself," he said.
For anyone willing to take a raucous ride with the Stallionaires, A Real Chance at Love airs Mondays on VH1 at 9 p.m.
