Put together a scary, sexy or outlandish outfit for about $5 at the closest thrift store. Your best bet is to head to Amvets Thrift Store on 1833 Elmwood Ave. or the Salvation Army Thrift Store on 1089 Niagara Falls Blvd., though there are plenty of picks around Buffalo.

In all thrift stores and consignment shops, there are massive collections of dresses, shirts, suits and accessories.
Dig up an old wig and pair it with a vintage dress and voila, you have a costume.
