Burgio to be honored

Senior offensive lineman Jonathan Burgio will be presented the collegiate version of the Athletes in Action "Call to Courage" Leadership Award. "Athletes in Action" is a campus wide ministry for athletes. Award winners are not only great student athletes, but also have great leadership on and off the field.

Burgio just finished his football tenure at Buffalo. The three-time letter-winner played in all 12 games last season.

Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Frank Reich will present the award to Burgio on Saturday, April 19. Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner will also be on hand to accept the 2008 Professional Call to Courage award

Women's track add another to 08-09 recruiting class

Stephanie Bristow has signed her National Letter of Intent and became the fifth recruit to sign with the women's track and field team.

Bristow, from Elmira, NY, is expected to be a middle-to-long distance runner and is expected to compete with the cross country team. At the state indoor championships, she competed 600-meters and was part of the 4x800-meter relay team for Elmira Southside High School.
