Buffalo swimmer compete at NCAA Championships
Sophomore diver Melli Carpenter competed against the best divers in the nation in the NCAA Championships this past weekend. Her performance put her in 23rd place with a score of 193.50 points. Only the top 16 scorers moved on to the consolation and championships rounds.
Carpenter was Buffalo's first female athlete to compete in the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships. She advanced to nationals with her victory in the platform competition at the NCAA Zone A Championships at Alumni Arena.
Baseball games moved to St. Bonaventure
For the second weekend in a row, the Buffalo baseball team's home series will be moved to St. Bonaventure's McGraw-Jennings Field due to unplayable field conditions at Amherst Audubon Field. The Bulls will host the Central Michigan Chippewas in a doubleheader on Sunday, March 30 in Olean. The doubleheader will start at noon.
The Bulls also played their games at St. Bonaventure last weekend against Northern Illinois.
Weekend softball cancelled
The Buffalo softball team will have to wait another weekend to open up their Mid-American Conference (MAC) campaign as their games against Toledo and Bowling Green have been cancelled. This is due to unplayable field conditions at Nan Harvey Field.
After a double-header against Canisius on Wednesday, the Bulls will start their MAC season with a double-header at Ohio on Friday, April 4.
