Bulls Look to Bring Nasti Attitude Against Flashes

Looking to keep the brooms from coming out again this year, UB softball will match up with Kent State University this weekend at home in a three-game series.In last year's series between the two teams, the Golden Flashes swept the Bulls (10-14, 1-2 Mid-American Conference).The Bulls will be playing Kent State (10-12, 2-1 MAC) this Sunday at Nan Harvey Field.In this season's rematch, the Bulls will rely heavily on the right arm of pitcher Stacey Evans.

Bulls Drop 1-0 Decision on Sunday

The UB Bulls softball team competed in a three-game series against the Miami of Ohio RedHawks this past weekend, and could only muster one victory out of three games.After Sunday's 1-0 loss to cap the series at the Miami Softball Field, the Bulls are now 10-14 for the season and 1-2 in the Mid-American Conference after winning only one game against their conference in foes in the set.Miami hurled the Bulls a four-hit shutout with the combined efforts of pitching teammates Courtney Salmon and Jackie Poggendorf, putting Miami at 9-16 and 2-1 in the MAC.The third inning was the setting for the lone run in Sunday's contest.

Bulls Attempt to get off the Schnide in Georgetown

UB baseball team opened its season down south last weekend against the Georgetown Hoyas with little success.The Hoyas hammered Buffalo over the four-game series, outscoring Buffalo 35-6 in total.After that wretched start, UB will head to the University of Maryland to try to get their season back on track.The Terrapins are struggling mightily themselves, coming into the series with a record of 1-6.Maryland's sole victory came when they defeated Lipscomb University 10-6 Sunday.

For a team struggling to garner any momentum heading towards the postseason, a matchup against a team you have not beaten in 11 tries is probably not something you are not looking forward to.Especially when you're without one of your top players.
