UB women’s basketball (2-1) defeated the Canisius Golden Griffins (0-1) 87-45 at the Koessler Athletic Center at Canisius Sunday afternoon.
UB women’s basketball (1-0) defeated the James Madison Dukes (1-1) 80-64 at the Atlantic Union Bank Center Monday afternoon.
Following their performances against Bowling Green, the Mid-American Conference awarded twin brothers Jaret and James Patterson with East Division Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 23.
On Tuesday, UB announced the men’s basketball team will open their season at home against Gannon on Nov. 25 pending approval from the New York State Department of Health. This will be the first time these teams face off since the Mideast Tournament in 1990-91.
Coming off a career-best performance against Miami (OH), UB quarterback Kyle Vantrease was named Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week Nov. 16. Vantrease is the second straight UB player to earn the award this season following teammate Jaret Patterson last week.
In the first UB game during the COVID pandemic, the Bulls (1-0) defeated the Northern Illinois Huskies (0-1) 49-30 at Huskie Stadium in DeKalb, Illinois. This is the first time Buffalo has beaten NIU since they joined the MAC in 1999.
The Bulls (18-11, 9-9 MAC) celebrated their only graduating senior Theresa Onwuka on Saturday’s senior night, as UB closed out the regular season with a 72-58 win against Kent State (18-11, 11-7 MAC). Onwuka’s final regular season game for the Bulls came with a milestone: her 1,000th career point.
UB women’s basketball (16-11) defeated the Ohio Bobcats (17-10) 63-62 at the Convocation Center Saturday afternoon. The Bulls have now won three-straight games for the first time in 2020. Saturday’s win also marks the 300th career victory for head coach Felisha Legette-Jack.
UB women’s basketball (13-8) dropped its third-straight game to the Toledo Rockets (11-10) at Alumni Arena Saturday, falling 78-62. With the loss, the Bulls drop to third place in the MAC East.
