Perpetrators as Victims

In "DWIs give new meaning to last call" (April 13, 2007), the writer manages to blame every possible local entity for drunk driving except the source: drunken students.

BSU criticism unfounded

Last Friday, Katie Beczak scorned student protestors for fighting to help campus custodians obtain a living wage ("Protesting the protester," April 7). According to her, their cause is "completely lacking in substance," even though it likely helped contracted janitors achieve an hourly wage raise of $3.57.

True equality absent in United States

Affirmative action was enacted to amend past injustices experienced by various groups. While the system may not be perfect, postmodern American society has hardly demonstrated its ability to be blind to differences such as race, ethnicity, age, gender and sexual orientation.
