Ups and Downs For Tennis At Dartmouth

The Bulls looked to continue their climb towards the top of the tennis mountain at the Dartmouth Invitational, but in order to do that they needed a strong showing from the whole team.Nick Ziezula, Mark Kennedy and Randy Rocchio won their early matches, but Mike Rockman's undefeated record was ruined with a loss.

Fred Mulligan's got a 'Really Big Show'

Looking for a night full of nostalgia and elderly humor?"The Fred Mulligan Show," showcasing the Queen City Chordsmen and Sound Celebration, fit the bill on Saturday evening during the 61st annual Barbershop Serenade at the historic Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda.Comprised of musical acts and chock full of corny jokes, "The Fred Mulligan Show" is the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America's take on "The Ed Sullivan Show." Ranging in age from 15 to 80, many of the members of the Buffalo Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society make up the 31-person Queen City Chordsmen.

Men's Soccer Strikes Down Griffins

The UB men's soccer team put their unbeaten record on the line Wednesday night against a tough Canisius team, and they were able to come away with a hard fought 1-0 win.Jeff Martinko would provide the only offense needed as he netted his third goal of the season.

Few Attend Forum on Activity Fee Increase

This week the Student Association held a rally to promote the mandatory student activity fee. At the end of the month students will have the option of voting to make the fee voluntary and vote on a proposed $10 increase.

Burgio Floats Plan For Winter Fest

Instead of using funds to add a second day to Fall Fest this semester, the Student Association is considering a first annual Winter Fest, according to SA President Anthony Burgio."We're in the early stages of planning for one," Burgio said.

E-Board Holds Fee Increase Rally

Student Association President Anthony Burgio and his executive board held a referendum rally in the Student Union Wednesday as a part of SA's campaign to inform students about the upcoming vote on the Mandatory Student Activity Fee.The undergraduate government's activity fee must be voted on every four years, as per SUNY guidelines.
