Born to Run

I remember the first time that one of my best friends, Anthony Leonelli, told me my favorite joke about a problem we share."How many kids with ADD does it take to screw in a light bulb?""I don't know, how many?""Hey, let's ride bikes."I swore I'd never be the guy to write anything with the phrase, "You don't understand what it's like to (insert something here)," but today I'm eschewing that pledge in the hopes that I may be able to achieve some sort of catharsis in regards to Attention Deficit Disorder. It would be pretty easy to make a joke out of all this and sputter around for 300 or so words before going to my pre-written conclusion.

Delegates Land Key Committee Seat at Conference

Despite the absence of delegate Thomas Martin and SA President Anthony Burgio, UB secured a seat this weekend on the SUNY Student Association's high-level executive committee, a move that Burgio hopes will help land a UB representative in the president's position next semester."Our objective was to gain a spot on the executive committee because we're not satisfied with the way SUNY SA is being run," Burgio said.Burgio was unable to attend the group's annual fall conference because of other obligations, but said it is not unusual for UB's SA president to not attend.Burgio stressed that his absence would not stop himself or the delegates from getting involved in SUNY SA, which acts as the student voice to the SUNY Board of Trustees.

"If It's Broke, Fix It"

If Victor E. Bull could alter the permanent, fixated grin on his face, it is likely that following Saturday's football game against Kent State, UB's number one fan would not only be sporting a fierce scorn, but would also need a short sabbatical from the University as a whole until a solution was gathered surrounding the atrocious football exhibition the UB football team displayed in its 33-7 loss to Kent State at UB Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The predictable nature of coach Jim Hofher's response to the adversity that the Bulls have faced this season is not working.
