After winning just six games last season, the volleyball team has turned things around under first-year head coach Tom Kress. So far it has been a season of streaks for the Bulls. After opening the year with two wins, Buffalo dropped three in a row before exploding for four-straight victories.

MCEER and Calspan partner to improve America's bridges

This fall, MCEER, the University at Buffalo's Multidisciplinary Center for Earthquake Engineering Research, and Calspan, a company in Buffalo internationally revered for aeronautics and transportation testing, will begin building two bridges in Ashford, N.Y. The full-scale bridge test will be performed to develop ways to improve the nation's crumbling bridge infrastructure.
