Reversal of roles

During the preseason, Turner Gill versus Frank Solich Part IV looked to be a vital battle for the position of top gun in the Mid-American Conference East Division. Gill's Buffalo squad came into the season as the favorite while Solich's Ohio ballclub, despite struggling during a 4-8 campaign in 2008, was viewed as a formidable obstacle on Buffalo's road towards a repeat.
