Hong Kong Officials Call Off Talks With Protestors

Caption If Kayo Lee was home in Hong Kong, he?d be sitting on city?s streets baring an umbrella and fighting for freedom to vote without China?s influence. The UB student and senior psychology major is doing his best to be part of the ?Umbrella Revolution? while he is studying in Buffalo. For about two weeks thousands of student protesters have camped out in some of Hong Kong?s busiest streets, using umbrellas as shields from police officer?s pepper spray and tear gas. And now, the meeting with Hong Kong?s government officials protesters have been fighting for will not happen.


In an effort to revitalize Buffalo, Gov. Cuomo called for the relocation of seven companies on UB’s Campuses and buildings, including the UB Downtown Gateway Building.

Bowling Green defeated Buffalo 36-35 Satuday. The Bulls drop to 1-1 in Mid-Amiercan Conference competition. Chad Cooper, The Spectrum The football team (3-3, 1-1 Mid-American Conference) lost 36-35 to Bowling Green (4-2, 2-0 MAC) at Doyt Perry Stadium Saturday. The Bulls led 35-30 and set up a 33-yard field goal attempt with a little over three minutes remaining in the game to expand their lead to eight points.

Brian Taylor, a professor of art and art history at San Jose University, came to UB Monday night as a part of the Department of Art?s speaker series.
