The men’s basketball team (17-14, 7-11 MAC) battled through a very competitive first half of their game against the Toledo Rockets (17-14, 11-7 MAC), trailing by just four points at halftime; as the high-scoring game took its course, Toledo proved too much to overcome as the Bulls lost 98-78.

Alumni Arena was overflowing with action on Friday and Saturday due to the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Men’s Wrestling Championships taking place. 12 schools from across the conference sent their best athletes to compete in this two day tournament that was ultimately won by Rider University (12-6, 6-0 MAC). The Bulls (4-11, 3-5 MAC) ended the tournament in 11th place with 24.5 points.

The men's basketball team (17-13, 7-10 MAC) posted a 1-1 record in their last two games. The stretch started in a hard fought loss to Central Michigan University (10-19, 6-10 MAC) on Saturday. The Bulls dug themselves a hole too deep to climb out of in the second half, leading to a 75-70 loss. Buffalo was hoping to turn the week around in a home contest against the Eastern Michigan Eagles (10-20, 4-13 MAC). They were able to do just that, thanks to a scoring outburst from junior guard Ryan Sabol, resulting in a final score of 72-67, in favor of Buffalo.

After a three-year-long renovation worth approximately $41 million, UB’s Foster Hall reopened Friday morning on South Campus. It will host the university’s Graduate School of Education, moving the school back into its original home after at least 50 years spent on North Campus’s Baldy Hall.

In 2014, psychiatrist Bessel van der Kolk published “The Body Keeps the Score," which has spent the past seven years on The New York Times Best Sellers list. And as a 2022 Vox article says, “‘The Body Keeps the Score’ is a part of the zeitgeist. Trauma is everywhere.”

In a city famously known for its powerful sight of natural wonder, Niagara Falls has one other rare and worthwhile sight: the Turtle. On Rainbow Boulevard sits the Turtle building, formally the largest Indigenous Cultural Center for the Living Arts in the eastern United States. While it is still staying true to its size at 67,000 square feet, it has remained unused for 30 years. Once alive with music, dance and art, the Turtle is now one of America’s most endangered places according to the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

UB’s Zodiaque Dance Company (ZDC) held its 51st Spring Concert this last weekend with four shows spread across the three days. The show was directed by the Artistic Director of Zodiaque Dance Company, Teaching Professor Kerry Ring and Assistant Teaching Professor Michael Deeb Weaver, with help from Graduate assistant, MFA dance candidate Alyvia Christensen and Undergraduate assistant senior dance majors Nathan Eck and Grace Wythe. The show was dedicated to UB’s Women’s Club.
