Erin Zilka receives MAC honors

On Tuesday, senior softball infielder Erin Zilka was named the Mid-American Conference's East Player of the Week after her performance at the K-Club Classic in Kennesaw, Ga.

Zilka's .455 batting average and .545 slugging percentage led Buffalo to a 4-3 win versus Drexel and a 2-1 win versus Memphis.

Buffalo swimmers named to All-MAC Team

Seven swimmers from the men's swimming and diving team were named to the All-MAC team Tuesday afternoon. Freshmen Jake Sangren and Jared Heine, juniors Connor Vander Zalm and Michael McDowell and senior Zach Ruske were named to the first team, while the second team consisted of juniors Andrew Tamchyna and Scott Woster.

Head coach Andy Bashor was also named as MAC Coach of the Year. He shares the honor with Eastern Michigan head coach Peter Linn.
