???On Tuesday, Buffalo Director of Athletics Warde Manuel announced that volleyball coach Jim Lodes will not have his contract renewed for next season.
???"Jim Lodes is a tremendous person and I thank him for all he has contributed to our department, this University and the Western New York community," Manuel said in a press release. "...Our ultimate goal is to win Mid-American Conference Championships and have our student-athletes compete in post-season play. I did not feel like we were progressing towards that goal. I wish Jim the best in all his future endeavors."
???Lodes just completed his fourth season as head coach of the Bulls, earning a 33-96 career record. In the past two seasons, the Bulls were only 8-56, including 2-30 in the MAC.
???The department has announced that a national search for the next coach will begin immediately.
