Kate McMeeken-Ruscoe

A senior on the UB women's basketball team, McMeeken-Ruscoe was named to the 2003 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Women's Basketball Team Friday, an honor voted on by the league's faculty athletic representatives.

McMeeken-Ruscoe was the Bulls' leading scorer, averaging 15.5 points per game while shooting 48.1 percent from the floor. A starter of all 29 games this season, she was also named as Second Team All-MAC.

To qualify for the Academic All-MAC, a student must have at least a 3.20 GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of their team's games.

Men's Tennis

The UB men's tennis team rolled to an easy 6-1 win over Bucknell Sunday at St. Bonaventure University, giving UB head coach Russ Crispell his 100th coaching victory at the school.

UB won the doubles point, taking two of three matches, and won all but one singles match.

"That was my goal, to get a hundred victories; it's a nice first goal to attain," Crispell stated. "Obviously, it's a measurement of a quality program. The match today was a really hard fought match, the guys shifted gears and knew it was a important match for us as we head into MAC play."
