Students preform the Lion Dance, the most famous Chinese folk dance, in the Student Union. Chinese people believe that the lions can ward off evil spirits and bad luck.

Only one pro-Palestine protester has been charged with an actual criminal offense: resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. The rest are facing non-criminal, violation-level charges.

Only one pro-Palestine protester has been charged with an actual criminal offense: resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. The rest are facing non-criminal, violation-level charges.

Police searched the site of the May 1 pro-Palestine protest and attempted encampment after dispersing demonstrators. Belongings left behind were confiscated by University Police.

University Police (UPD) Chief Kim Beaty, pictured above, attended the May 1 protests alongside officers from a variety of departments. The Faculty Senate voted to condemn bringing outside law enforcement to peaceful protests.
