Jayvon Graves will return to UB for senior season

Soon-to-be senior withdraws from the NBA Draft

UB basketball’s Jayvon Graves withdrew from the 2020 NBA Draft on Wednesday and will return for his senior season in 2020-21.

Graves declared for the draft in March, shocking many both in the MAC and beyond due to the abruptness of his decision. In an interview with the Buffalo News, Graves said that through his declaration for the draft, he learned a lot about the NBA draft process. He now knows the steps to pursue a career in the NBA and will use this experience once he concludes his final year at UB.

Graves was UB’s leading scorer last season, averaging 17.1 points per game on 42.6% shooting, helping him earn first-team All-MAC honors.

Graves’ leadership and experience will help the Bulls mightily during the 2020-21 campaign, as his tournament experience is unteachable. He has been a part of Bulls teams that have won back-to-back MAC Championships in 2018 and 2019.
