UB graduate schools rank in national report

UB graduate school rankings are in.

Eight UB graduate programs appear on U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 Best Graduate Schools rankings, announced Tuesday. 

UB’s School of Social Work ranked No. 25 on a list of the top 25, the School of Public Health and Health Professions ranked No. 37 and the School of Nursing ranked No. 47.

UB’s Law school climbed two spots and ranked No. 104.

The report ranked UB’s School of Engineering at No. 63, with individual programs receiving recognition as well. 

U.S. News ranked the School of Management No. 66, up seven spots from last year.

Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is rated in two categories: research (75) and primary care (78) –– both of which fell from last year’s ratings (61 and 72, respectively).

The Graduate School of Education dropped eight spots since last year and is currently ranked No. 88. 

The report is based on “expert opinions” on programs and statistics measuring schools’ faculty, research and students, according to U.S. News.
