9:32 p.m. – Patrol noticed a driver doing circles in Fargo Parking Lot earlier and stopped the driver at Villas on Rensch. Patrol later noticed the driver in the Governors A and B Lots. When the driver would notice the University Police (UPD), the driver would leave the lot. Patrol said the driver has no business on campus and does not live on campus. The driver said he was trying to get on the Thruway and was having car trouble.

4:25 a.m. – A resident of Creekside Village reported a female yelling outside her apartment for an unknown reason. Patrol identified a male and a female arguing outside.
7:06 a.m. – A UB employee reported a man sleeping in a vehicle at a stop sign at the Main Circle. Patrol confirmed this and said the driver appeared to have his foot on the break pedal. The driver was under the weather and his mom responded to take custody of the operator and the vehicle.
7:48 a.m. – UPD reported a gray pit bull running around on South Campus. The dog had a collar and appeared to be malnourished. UPD attempted to contact Buffalo Animal Control, but the facility doesn’t open until 9 a.m. Patrol was able to catch the dog and put it on a leash. The dog was held in the Clark Hall gym with patrol. They were able to contact the Town of Amherst Animal Control.

7:46 a.m. – A Clement resident adviser (RA) reported a UB student had plans on staying in his/her girlfriend’s room in Fargo Hall. No guests were allowed in dorm rooms during that weekend. UPD advised the student to return to his dorm.
9:08 p.m. – Veteran Affairs (VA) police reported a suspicious white male running barefoot from the VA property onto UB. The subject was wearing a black knit cap, black sweatpants and a red t-shirt. The police said the subject was not a patient of theirs. They had seen him on camera and thought it was suspicious because he had no shoes on. Patrol reported the subject was enjoying the weather and went out for a jog barefoot.

6:48 p.m. – A caller reported he was in Capen Hall and observed a male wearing a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants, approximately 6 feet tall and of average weight attempt to get into the caller’s vehicle and other vehicles in the area. The caller said the male left the area and walked toward Governors Complex. UPD found no damage to the vehicles in the area and believed the subject was checking for unlocked doors.
9:28 p.m. – A caller reported she had not heard from her son and would like his welfare checked. Her son is a student and rode on a bus back to campus from New York City that day. The bus was scheduled to arrive back on campus between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. The caller did not know the name of the bus company. UPD made contact with the subject. He is OK and made contact with his mother.
