Police Blotter: 10/14-10/20

10/14

5:49 p.m. – A complainant reported three of her bras were stolen from the washing machine in the Flint Village laundry room. The incident happened between 4 and 5 p.m. Patrol was dispatched.

9:31 p.m. – A complainant reported a dog locked in a vehicle in Jarvis B Parking Lot. Patrol was dispatched. The owner stated the dog was periodically walked throughout the day and it had food and water available. The temperature in the car was not unsafe and the dog appeared in good health.

6:12 p.m. – A victim reported his laptop stolen from his bag while he left it unattended in the Diefendorf Hall bathroom. Patrol was dispatched.

10:59 p.m. – Complainants reported seeing a subject matching the description of a Peeping Tom who has been seen in the area of South Lake recently. Patrol was dispatched and checked the area, but could not find the suspect.

12:50 p.m. – A complainant reported her ex-boyfriend was threatening to disrupt a performance in the Center for the Arts Drama Theater at 7:30 p.m. The suspect had no reason to be on campus and has been violent with the complainant in the past.

1:35 p.m. – A UB student reported a suspicious black backpack outside of CVS in The Commons. The bag contained clothing and a calculator. Patrol contacted the owner, who meant to dispose of the bag.

2:49 p.m. – A caller reported a staff member falling and possibly breaking her nose. An ambulance was requested. The staff member refused transport and said she will seek treatment on her own.

5:05 p.m. – A UB employee reported she was walking to work on the sidewalk by Putnam Way near Slee Hall when a known male either tried to strike her with his car or scare her by approaching her. The incident occurred between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m.

1:52 a.m. – Patrol noticed a suspicious male at Main Circle. The male was observed looking through garbage cans and hanging around the Main Circle bus shelter. The subject with identified as a non-student who said he was picking up cans for extra money.

11:16 a.m. – A subject reported a disturbing email she received. She called back around 8:44 p.m. stating the email was a joke from her friend and does not wish to pursue the matter any further.

6:44 p.m. – A UB employee reported a “suspicious” male standing on the sidewalk outside of Farber Hall. The male was standing in the rain with his cellphone flashing periodically. The subject was described as a white male in his 20’s and wearing a black T-shirt and a dark colored knit hate. Patrol identified the student, who was waiting for a ride.
