Police investigating break-in by South Campus

The Buffalo Police Department (BPD) is investigating a break-in that occurred Tuesday at 10:45 p.m. by South Campus on Winspear Avenue.

BPD reported three males armed with handguns entered a house through an unlocked door and demanded money from the residents. The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction and were not caught on university cameras. BPD believes the men, who are in their late teens, specifically targeted the house.

Gerald Schoenle, the chief of University Police, said it was not a university crime and the victims are not UB students.

No arrests have been made and the matter remains under investigation.
