Haider Alidina

Asst. Creative Director

At the beginning of 2012, I walked into The Spectrum office to ask if they needed a graphic designer. Now, entering my final semester as an undergraduate, I've come to realize that spur-of-the-moment decision was one of the best I've ever made.

I've always been passionate about design, and I started to try my hand at it around the age of 15. I entered UB as an engineering major, but after a few semesters of it, I knew it just wasn't right for me. I eventually switched to a double major in media production and psychology, and I was always itching to try and produce work in a challenging setting. The Spectrum has provided me with just that.

Every time I walk through those office doors, I'm engaged and committed to producing the best possible work I can; and that's largely in part because everyone else in The Spectrum feels the same. It's a privilege to work alongside such dedicated and hardworking people, and there's nothing better to me than helping them bring their pieces to life. The creative process is something I'll never grow tired of, and I'm constantly reminded of how lucky I am to have had this opportunity.
