Jacob Shillman never expected his time at UB to lead to an interest in journalism. However, during the fall of junior year, as the newest assistant editor on the Sports Desk, The Spectrum provided a forum for his journalistic skills to flourish. After moving to News Desk the following spring to better refine his skills as a journalist, he moved on to his true calling: editorial writing.
Jacob enjoys discussing national policy and political events that affect average Americans. As a senior, he settled into the editorial editor position, which afforded him the ability to put his interest to good use. Upon completing his time at UB, Jacob will be taking the year off to work in New Zealand on a family farm.
