Christy Suhr first became interested in journalism as a writer and editor for her high school's newspaper. She dreamed of one day writing for Spin magazine and getting the chance to interview John Mayer.
Christy came to UB undecided, and was disappointed to find that they did not offer journalism as a major. She tried out a few programs in the College of Arts and Sciences before choosing communication.
This is Christy's second semester on the sports desk at The Spectrum. She is graduating summa cum laude in May with a Bachelor's degree in communication. She hopes to pursue a career in broadcast journalism, public relations, or a related field.
