Andrew Wiktor grew up loving sports. He spent his time shooting hoops in parks throughout Queens, NY, played little league baseball and soccer and enjoyed nothing more than watching sports with his friends. When he started writing for The Spectrum four semesters ago, he fell in love with journalism.
He began as a staff writer in the fall of 2009 and became an assistant sports editor in the spring. Each semester he has assumed a more demanding position at the Sports Desk and is excited to take over as editor-in-chief next year.
Wiktor is an English and political science major here at the University at Buffalo. His dream job is to be a beat writer for the New York Knicks, however, he plans to attend law school after he graduates in order to keep his options open.
