Bulls pitcher earns Co-Pitcher of the Week

???The Mid-American Conference announced junior pitcher Pierre Miville-Deschenes of the baseball team as MAC East Co-Pitcher of the Week. This marked the second time that Miville-Deschenes has won the award this season.

???He was selected for this award after his performance last Saturday against Central Michigan. He struck out six batters and allowed only four base hits and one run in a complete game effort.

Indoor track and field team adds 7 to the Academic All-MAC team

???Four women and three men from Buffalo's indoor track and field team were acknowledged for their outstanding academic performance and named to the Academic All-MAC team.

???Senior Caitlin Godin (3.726 GPA), senior Jessica Schultz (3.499 GPA), senior Mary Veith (3.710 GPA) and senior Tina Villa (3.782 GPA) were selected from the women's team.

???Sophomore Jacob Hagen (3.448 GPA), junior Jake Madonia (3.391 GPA), and junior Dan Schichtel (3.284 GPA) were added from the men's squad.

Garbaty honored by MAC committee

???Freshman javelin thrower Casey Garbaty was named MAC Field Athlete of the Week on Monday after placing first at the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State University on Saturday. His throw of 204-6 was a new school record and it earned him an NCAA East qualifying mark.

???Garbaty is the third Buffalo athlete to earn honors from the MAC in the past two weeks. Juniors Dan Harris and Allison Grimes earned last week's conference award.
