Miville-Deschenes earns MAC East weekly award
On Tuesday, the Mid-American Conference honored junior Pierre Miville-Deschenes as the MAC East Pitcher of the Week.
???Miville-Deschenes received this award after his performance last week against the IPFW Mastodons. In the game, he struck out 12 of 27 batters, posted an ERA of 0.00, and allowed only one hit in seven innings.
Barr honored as MAC East pitcher of the week
Junior softball pitcher Sharon Barr was named MAC East Pitcher of the Week after leading the Bulls to a 2-1 victory against Canisuis and a 3-0 win against St. John's.
???After relieving freshmen pitcher Terese Diaz in the game against Canisius, Barr closed out the match allowing only one hit, which eventually preserved the win for the team. In the match versus St. John's, Barr earned her first shutout of the season. She allowed zero runs, eight hits and three walks.
