On Wednesday, at approximately 7:55 p.m. in the Main/Bailey Parking Lot on South Campus, a student was approached from behind while walking back to his dormitory.
Four black males, according to a news release, took the victim's bag of fast food at the time of the assault. A strong-arm robbery involves an offense that occurs without a weapon. The victim was allegedly punched and kicked.
"He picked up food from McDonald's. He thinks they saw him leave and followed him for the purpose of taking his food. They didn't take anything else," said Lt. Chris Bartolomei of the University Police.
The alleged suspects range from 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and are reportedly in their late teens to early 20s. All of the suspects were reportedly wearing dark clothing at the time of the robbery.
