Alex Stamatakis and Diana Popescu were named Athletes of the Week on Sunday.

???Stamatakis, a senior thrower on the indoor track and field team was named athlete of the week after his shot put performance against Akron. Stamatakis had an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in addition to breaking a school record with a throw of 58-3.75. He was placed third in the event. Stamatakis also finished in third in the weight throw with a throw of 56-10.75.

???Popescu, a senior on the women's tennis team also earned the weekly honor. Popescu won both of her singles and doubles matches against Syracuse University. She won the singles match 6-2, 6-1 and won her doubles event with junior Denise Harijanto, 8-4.
