Okay, you've registered. Now be certain that your vote speaks to your own best interests on Nov. 2.
Many things should determine that vote. We have a war badly managed with new lists of brave young men and women killed or wounded reaching us every day, those we seek to help suffering still worse. Our economy has descended deep into debt, our mid-level jobs going or already gone overseas and many laid-off workers forced to return to subsistence jobs. The increasingly expensive education you are acquiring may not pay off when you graduate. The environment - our legacy to those who come after us - is under more serious attack than ever before, with current policies receiving the first "F" grade in Sierra Club history. Even our vaunted health care system is in trouble. Despite claims of high quality among developed countries, we rank 37th in overall performance. One of out of six Americans is uninsured.
It seems evident to me that our choices are laid out for us, but you decide and record your preferences in the polling booth.
