UB Football is a Hot Ticket this Fall

Students are encouraged to obtain tickets in advance for the home opener

Anticipating the first-ever sellout in the history of UB's 31,000 seat stadium, the Division of Athletics has set aside 7,500 student-only tickets for the highly touted UB football home opener on Sat., Sept. 11 against Syracuse University.

Given the record number of people that are expected, and the local media coverage the game is receiving, students are advised to take extra measures to obtain tickets to see the Bulls' first home game of the 2004 campaign.

"It is important that students who want to go to the game come get their tickets in advance," said Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Paul Vecchio.

UB undergraduates can swipe their UB cards at special swipe stations located in the lobby of Alumni Arena on Tuesday, September 7th and Wednesday, September 8th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets will be distributed one per student, free of charge on a first come, first serve basis. Students will be seated close to those they are in line with.

Local radio stations Kiss 98.5 and 103.3 The Edge to entertain the students while they wait in lines at the stadium.

While University at Buffalo graduate students are not eligible for the free tickets, they are encouraged to purchase them with a $2 discount. Remaining tickets will not be available to the general public until the night of the game.
