The men's tennis team won its final two matches at the Buffalo/Bonaventure Fall Classic. The matches were against Youngstown State and St. Bonaventure. Against Youngstown State, the Bulls won all three doubles matches and five of six singles matches. In their match against St. Bonaventure, they also swept the doubles, winning all three, but could not find similar success in the singles, winning three and losing four.

UB Athletes of the Week

Mike Rockman of the men's tennis team was named UB's male athlete of the week for his performance at the Fall Classic tennis tournament held last weekend. Rockman headlined a strong UB showing, finishing the tournament completely undefeated in all match action. Although there was no team scoring in the tournament, head coach Russ Crispell and the rest of the team will rely on Rockman's winning ways when they travel to the Dartmouth College Invitational tournament, beginning on Thursday.

Jenny Dannecker was named UB's female athlete of the week. Dannecker led the Bulls' women's soccer team against Akron on Sunday. She scored the only goal UB would need to take down their conference rival, and is currently tied for the team lead with five points on the young season.

Koeppel named MAC runner of the week

UB senior cross-country athlete Jenny Koeppel was named the MAC runner of the week. Koeppel raced to a first place finish last weekend at the Tommy Evans Invitational, setting a new course record with her time of 18:21. The UB women's went on to win the meet, edging out Akron 29-37.
