Basketball Schedules Released
Both teams will open their seasons against Connecticut, whose mens' and womens' teams are the reigning national champions. The women tip off on November 19, with the men to follow on November 20. The mens' non-conference schedule includes games against Fairleigh Dickinson, Indiana State University, Colgate, Elon, Penn State, and a game at the ESPN Bracket Buster. The Bulls will also appear on ESPN2 for a home game against Ball State on Saturday February 12.
In addition to their opening match against UConn, the women's team will play non-conference games against Holy Cross, Lafayette, Northeastern, and Bucknell.
Empire to Air Bulls Sports Shows
The Empire Sports Network will begin airing a new show about UB's football and basketball teams. The show is called "Bulls-Eye: Inside UB Athletics," and will air weekly during the football season and twice weekly during the basketball season. The show's premiere will be Tuesday, September 7, and will be hosted by Empire's Bob Trimble. Paul Vecchio, Assistant Athletic Director for Communications at UB, will join Trimble for the broadcast.
