Bulls senior Breanne Nasti was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week for the sixth time in her career on Monday.
She was 9-for-17 at the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga Frost Classic with eight RBIs. Nasti shined against some of the nations best competition. Against No. 9 Alabama she hit a three-run shot in the bottom of the sixth inning of a 6-3 Bulls loss. She also hit another three-run shot in the Bulls' 5-1 win over Chattanooga.
She is hitting .375 with 10 RBIs and a .792 slugging percentage on the year.
Men's Tennis
For his efforts in UB's matches over the weekend against Bucknell and Western Michigan, the Bulls' Randy Rocchio was named the Mid-American Conference Tennis Player of the Week.
Rocchio went 2-0 in singles matches and 2-1 in doubles matches over the weekend. He beat Bucknell's Nick Denefrio 6-1, 6-3 at number one singles on Saturday, and on Sunday he beat WMU's Tommy Dennis 0-6, 6-4 and 6-4.
While teamed up with Nick Ziezula, the pair won matches over Bucknell and Duquesne's top teams.
